Ongoing Health Emergency Procedure

Are you concerned about appearing for a scheduled court date?

If you are represented by an attorney, contact your attorney to learn about what accommodations can be made for you. Many courts may permit you to appear by phone or via Zoom, but arrangements may need to be made in advance.

If you are not represented by an attorney, and you have received a notice to appear in court, click here for information about how to get a public defender assigned to your case.

If you are appearing in person in court, courts in Snohomish County require you to wear a face cover at court. A face cover can be a mask, bandana, scarf, or any fabric covering your nose and mouth. If you have a health condition that precludes you from wearing a face cover, you can expect to be asked to provide a letter documenting your health condition to enter the courts without a face cover. Please be prepared with your own face cover when coming to court.

If you miss a court appearance, the court may issue a bench warrant for your arrest. Your attorney can assist you in resolving a bench warrant. Please keep in good contact with your attorney. We are here to help you.
