CIVIL CONTEMPT

Starting in January 2016, the Snohomish County Public Defender Association is representing individuals faced with Contempt of Court for non-payment of child support in Snohomish County Superior Court.

A child support order in Washington is a legal obligation. In cases of non-payment, the State can file a contempt proceeding which can result in jail and/or suspension of a driver’s license.

Individuals facing Contempt of Court proceedings can be screened by the Snohomish County Office of Public Defense to determine eligibility for appointment of a public defender from our office. For more information, click on the following link:
