The Supreme Court’s Decision

SCPDA as an organization, and the anti-racism committee, acknowledge the deeply disturbing and terrifying decision made by the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.

This affects all people in this country – especially those denied status, resources, and basic human rights. This decision gives a green light for racist, anti-trans, and anti-abortion politicians across the county to restrict, criminalize, or ban abortion and is rooted in misogyny and hate. The office strongly opposes the decision.

The loss of a fundamental right threatens all fundamental rights. The Court’s role is to protect and expand the rights and safety of the most vulnerable, not remove rights.
