Kathleen Kyle joined SCPDA in 1998 and became the Assistant Director in 2008. In 2015, Kathleen was selected as the Managing Director. She earned her B.A. at Northwest Nazarene University and her J.D. at the American University Washington College of Law. During law school, she interned at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia and the Washington Council of Lawyers, Death Penalty Representation Project.
Kathleen currently serves on the WSBA Council on Public Defense. She has also previously served on the Washington State Sentencing Guidelines Commission. She has presented at statewide programs on mass incarceration, mental health law, and justice, and search and seizure law.
