Glen got his first taste of public defense as a volunteer investigator for The Defender Association in Seattle, WA, in 2005. After spending a few years after college working in the bicycle industry, Glen went to Seattle University School of Law in 2013. He spent his 1L summer as an intern with the Federal Public Defender of Alaska and his 2L summer as Rule 44 attorney for the Public Defender Agency (State of Alaska). He went on to practice as a public defender in Alaska for both the Kenai and Anchorage offices and handling both misdemeanor and felony cases.
Glen returned to his home state of Washington in 2018 and worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge David A. Kurtz on the Snohomish County Superior Court while waiting for admission to the Washington State Bar. Glen joined SCPDA in 2020.
“What is a public defender? The voice of reason, against the howling mob.”
