Growing up in Everett, I was aware of the inequality faced by members of my community, and it was clear to me that I needed to be part of something that fought for those individuals.
Since starting as a law office assistant 15 years ago, my love for this work has only grown. I have worked in a variety of roles throughout my years and it has been an incredible journey – learning how the justice system functions and how our organization operates. In sum, it takes amazing people and tremendous effort.
It is an incredible feeling to work in an office where we all have the same goal of standing up to injustice and advocating for those who need it most. I believe everyone deserves to be treated equally by the criminal justice system and I am grateful to be part of an office that is ensuring that for our community. I am honored to be celebrating 15 years at the Snohomish County Public Defender Association
